Children's Clinics
Sun Valley Ski & Snowboard School takes the art of teaching youngsters well beyond just babysitting. It is important to the hand-picked instructors who take charge of the children's clinics that their pupils have fun, build confidence and develop skills in a setting that seems like child's play.

Dollar Mountain clinics are tailored to the needs of 4- to 12- year olds. Sound fundamentals are emphasized, and lunch breaks are supervised. Supervision begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Dollar Mountain.

The "Bald Eagles" ski clinics strengthen technique for the 6-12-year-old intermediate to expert skier and snowboarder on Baldy. Classes begin and end at River Run Plaza. Supervision begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m. Sign up at River Run Plaza Children's Center only.

Ski Ability Levels:

1. First-time skier

2. Beginning wedge turn/ wedge to a stop

3. Advanced wedge turn/ can link wedge turns

4. Wedge Christie/ match skis at end of turn

5. Advanced Christie/ match skis before fall line

6. Beginning parallel/ turn both skis at same time

7. Intermediate parallel/ begin to carve turns

8. Dynamic parallel/ high level of carving

9. Advanced skiing/ speed in all conditions
